She groaned again, understanding that action, that withholding in response to her trying to take what she wanted. She knew he desired control, insisted on it. She was beneath him, tied down, his hand at her throat, almost completely at his mercy...and he was making it clear that he would not proceed unless she surrendered that "almost."

Her eyes locked on his, she nodded slowly. She'd surrender to him.
