"If I was going to run I would have done it already," she countered, taking another step. "And I wouldn't attack you, I'd defend myself." She let out a breath, the tension in her body easing slightly. She paused, considering her options, making up her mind...then stepped into his arms, slid her own arms over his shoulders and around his neck, and kissed him.
